Odds and ends

  • Another victory for the embargo: Responding to U.S. pressure, Lloyds bank tells its customers in Britain that if they do business in Cuba, they have to take their banking business elsewhere.

  • Someone hurry up and tell Secretary Gutierrez: Reports of UFO’s in Cuba, with eyewitness accounts and a photo.

most cubans on the street go for obama.. so do the dissident groups!

but wait? I thought Obama (according to the historic exile) is against Cuban freedom??? So common Cubans, who clearly favor Obama,. want their own chains I guess.

Its not just in the press, anybody who has been to Cuba in past 15 years, knows that the average Cuban on street is strongly against embargo and would favor any Democrat... b/c they know it is moral to end embargo (and may even hasten end of regime).

I am strongly anti-castro who believes that hardliners are totatly crazy and just don't get it.
