“Tell them all to just keep coming”

That’s a Cuban fan speaking to an AFP reporter at the Kool and the Gang concert yesterday on the Malecon. It was held at the Tribuna Anti-Imperialista, the stage and plaza built in front of the U.S. diplomatic mission during the Elian Gonzalez saga.

Maybe our diplomats figure that if they have to stare at the thing all day, why not bring a good act to perform there? Let’s hope there are more.

AFP coverage here, AP here.

great concert. Good for kool and the gang. People over politics always wins, (when allowed).

Hope Miami cuban tea baggers see this and realize how their prohibtion of 50 years of non contact is not the way foward..

Funny how the Cuban-American teabaggers despise any government intervention here at home (they would would disband public schools if they could), Yet they want the US government to "intervene" in the most intrusive way possible by dictating who can travel freely to cuban and 'what can they do'.

I guess teh cuban tea baggers like to put Miami-mafia influenced bureaucrats in between families and friends on both sides of el mar.

People and family over politics!!!
Get US government bureaucrats out from the family relationships.

"People and family over politics!!!"

Hallelujah, companero! What we need is more kazoo bands touring Guanahacabibes.

Forget about those miserable gusanos and their tired chorus of "human rights" (whatever those are). How does the old hymn go:

Gimme that old time Stalinism
Gimme that old time Stalinism
Gimme that old time Stalinism
It's good enough for me
It was good for the Prophet Fidel
It was good for the Prophet Fidel
It was good for the Prophet Fidel
And it's good enough for me!
