A small development in the reform drive: the "experiment" of turning small state barber and beauty shops into places where the workers run their own individual businesses has ended, and was deemed a success.
The barbers and beauticians will be treated as other trabajadores por cuenta propia now. They will continue to lease space from the state. They set their prices, buy their own supplies, pay taxes and social security contributions, etc. And as the new decree (pdf) notes, if they have unused vacation time from their time as state employees, that will be paid out in cash.
