Opciones,
a Cuban economics magazine, reports that there are now 371,200 Cubans working
in the small entrepreneurial sector, counting both entrepreneurs and their
employees.
That’s an increase of more than 200,000 since late 2010 when
the government changed its policies changed and started granting licenses to
virtually all comers.
This year it is expected that state payrolls will shrink by
170,000 and private employment will grow by 240,000.
