The EFE story reports on a Council of Ministers meeting (see Granma
story) that reported that more than 5,500 entrepreneurs are renting their
premises from the government. That
figure includes small barber and beauty shops that previously operated as state
enterprises. Those who switch to private
entrepreneurship will be exempt from tax for their first year, Granma reported.
