Not much new here, but for the record, President Obama
addressed
Cuba policy in a recent interview with Jose Diaz-Balart of Telemundo.
He indicated the possibility of “progress
over the next four years” but noted that normalization would only come after
substantial change in Cuba.
Cuba’s foreign
ministry came back with
a
statement expressing “the
willingness of the Cuban people and the Cuban
government to work to advance bilateral relations” and noting that “the only
thing that has not changed in 50 years is United States policy.”
