Odds and ends

  • The Economist on tourism in Cuba: a slump last year that continued into the early 2007 high season, “one of the lowest rates of return visits in the travel business,” and possible upcoming measures beyond those already announced – allowing Cubans to stay in Cuban hotels, and re-pegging the convertible peso at par with the dollar.

  • A new Cuban website, in English and Spanish, on Cuba’s programs of international health care assistance.
