Back home in Hialeah
Rudy Giuliani is back in Florida for the third time in three weeks, raising money and getting a warm reception in Hialeah, El Nuevo Herald reports. He wants to promote free trade and keep close relations with Mexico and Colombia as counterweights to Chavez’ Venezuela. No word on his wife’s progress in learning Spanish. AP's coverage here.
Giuliani's politics is based on demonizing anything with an approval level lower than 50%. It works well in America... whether it is homeless people in New York, terrorists or Venezuela.
Of course, he did not see a problem with representing Venezuela's oil company until about a month ago.
His Cold War mentality of buttressing human rights abusers like Colombia in the name of balancing evil Red states like Venezeula belongs in the dustbin.
